Erika Thiede, MS, RDN, is a Functional Medicine Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and health advocate on a mission to transform your health and change your life through personalized nutrition. With a Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, Erika's work is focused on a whole-body approach.
Throughout her career, she has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds. In 2016, Erika created a district-wide nutrition program in the Alvord Unified School District that extended into the community. Alongside Riverside's Mayor's office, she educated over 20,000 people and curated over $950k in grant funds to bring the program to life.
Alongside serving the Alvord community, Erika worked in the field of sports nutrition. In 2017, she created the first of its kind sports nutrition program at Mater Dei High School.
This opened the door to multiple training facilities and, eventually, the NFL Combine. Erika completed training to obtain a certification in sports dietetics to better serve her athletes.
Erika has helped numerous athletes prepare for some of the most significant moments in their lives.
In her journey to becoming a mother, Erika gained a profound appreciation for the impact of nutrition on women's hormone health. To deepen her understanding, she completed coursework and became certified in integrative and functional nutrition.
Erika's advanced training has allowed her to gain a more profound understanding of the gut-brain connection and the impact of nutrition on mental health and well-being. She is passionate about bridging the gap between food and health to help her clients live the most vibrant life.
Erika has a Bachelor of Science in Health Communications from the University of Southern California with a minor in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Loma Linda University. Erika has completed training through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Integrative and Functional Nutrition and Sports Nutrition. She has published numerous articles for WellnessVerge, MindBodyGreen, Cleveland Clinic Health, and Loma Linda University. Erika is also a Legislative Advocate for the National Eating Disorders Association.
